Hajin Ruy
Secretary General
Hello, my name is Hajin Ruy, a Junior in Korea International School Jeju. Welcome to GECMUN X! I will be serving as your Secretariat General for this conference. I started MUN in my freshman year, and I will confidently assert that joining this conference was one of the best choices I have made so far in my high school year. From MUN, I have gained my public speaking skill, social skills, and most importantly, critical thinking. I hope that this conference is a place for all of the delegates to get what I have got from my past conferences, or even more. All of our secretariats and advisors has been working hard to make this a memorable event. We hope you enjoy the conference and learn a lot from this. Delegates, see you soon!

SiHeon Stella Lee
Deputy Secretary General
Welcome to GECMUN X! I’m Stella Lee, and will be serving you all as the Deputy Secretary General of the conference. I’m a senior in Korea International School Jeju, and MUN has been part of my life since 2018. Out of all, GECMUN is the conference that taught me the basics of MUN and watched me grow from a delegate to a secretariat. I genuinely hope for each and every one of you will gain "something" out of this conference; It may be a negotiation skill, lifelong friendship, or any feeling of accomplishment. Whatever that may be, I would like to invite all of you to be part of this arduous yet worthy journey (and my last one). Please embrace the challenges that GECMUN offers and don’t be afraid to add your voice to us. If you have any prior questions or concerns, please feel free to contact [email protected] or any of our secretairts. Good luck, and see you all in March.

Steven Yang
Under Secretary General
Greetings, honorable chairs and esteemed delegates! I am Steven Yang, who will be serving as your Under Secretary General for GECMUN X. I am a Year 13 (or senior) at North London Collegiate School Jeju, and this is my fourth and final year being part of Model United Nations. My experience at GECMUN 6 three years ago was full of anxiety as I never experienced a fiery atmosphere of MUN. I am sure you would also feel overwhelmed by the passionate speeches, motions, fiery debates, and resolutions if you are a new MUNer. I felt exactly the same in every conference I participated as a delegate regardless of the accumulation of experience. But what kept me as a MUNer was the pride of being able to confidently debate in diplomatic form, delve into various contemporary issues, and make new friends! Do not be afraid of yourselves. Fellow delegates, chairs, and secretariats are there to foster your MUN skills. And what you take from this conference is not the shiny glass award but the growth of yourselves as MUN delegates through the thrilling experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me ([email protected]). I am looking forward to seeing you all in the conference!

Weiroo Park
Under Secretary General
Hi all, my name is Wieroo Park (she/her), a senior at Branksome Hall Asia. MUN is undoubtedly one of the best things I've done in highschool and I'm very happy to be able to help host the 10th iteration of a conference I've been a part of since 5 years ago. Working with the chairs of UNHRC and ADHOC throughout the past few months, I am more than confident to say that GECMUN X will be able to deliver the fullest extent of prestige, professionalism, and enjoyment that a conference could possibly have. I know MUN secretariats could seem a little unapproachable, but I firmly believe that what makes a conference so special is the connections we make and the fun we're able to have as students who share similar interests. Therefore, please don't hesitate to reach out to me anytime throughout the conference to talk about anything! Outside of MUN, I love to read, write, and talk about music for hours. I hope the secretariats' time and effort in coordinating this conference will provide you an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to meet all of you in March!

Ghabin Kim
Under Secretary General
Dear Honorable Delegates, guests, and advisers,
It is my utmost honor to serve as an Under Secretary General at GECMUN X. I am GhaBin Kim, and I am a senior at St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju. Ever since embarking on my MUN journey, GECMUN has been an integral part of my life. I began as a delegate discussing the mitigation of air pollution in GECMUN V, then had the privilege of chairing ECOSOC and UNHRC in the following conferences. As I grew as a global citizen, I also witnessed the growth and transformation of GECMUN. I am excited to once again immerse myself in the enthusiastic atmosphere and see active discussions among delegates dedicated to making positive changes in the world. My sincere hope is that every participant, including the members of the press, advisers, and my fellow secretariats, will fully enjoy this year’s GECMUN experience. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me ([email protected]), and I am greatly looking forward to meeting all of you.

Hello, I'm Lynn Kim from KISJ, a Marketing Director of GECMUN X. My job began from a logo design that defines the primary identity of GECMUN. Moreover, I'll be designing design goods and social media pages that highlight our committees and events. I hope my contribution could enrich the "aesthetics" of GECMUN and offer more attraction to the upcoming events and for all participants.

Nickolas Harris
Korea International School Jeju Director I teach history at Korea International School Jeju, and have been on the island for the past four years. Previous to South Korea, I taught history and coached MUN at Bahrain and Honduras. I love soccer, history, and MUN.
I have find this conference to be one of the most inspiring MUN conferences to be part of. The conference is delegate-centered and is focused on providing attendees with an entertaining and educational experience. The small committee sizes provide ease when it comes to delegates having to contact chairs, and vice-versa. The chairs do not look at the conference as a resume padder but are truly invested in providing delegates with the best experience possible, and I firmly believe our format of having adults selecting the chairs instead of having high school students select their friends is a superior system to many of the MUN conferences in the Korean circuit. We pride our conference to be constantly breaking new barriers. We are an ambitious conference, constantly trying out new committees, and continually expanding in size. I look forward to seeing the conference continue to expand in both quality and quantity. Nickolas Harris Korea International School Jeju Director |
